The easiest way to organize Secret Santa
The Secret Santa generator draws names for your gift exchange in one click – for family, friends, classrooms or the office. Every person gives exactly one gift and receives exactly one gift, nobody draws their own name, and you can add exclusions so couples or housemates don’t draw each other.
After the draw you get a private link for each person. Send it by message or email: when they open it, they tap a gift box and see who they are buying for – and nothing else. The organizer doesn’t have to know the pairs, so the organizer can take part too. Prefer paper? Print a slip for each person instead.
No accounts, no email addresses, no data stored on our servers: the result of each person’s draw lives only inside their link.
How to use
- Enter the participants, one name per line (at least three people).
- Optional: open Exclusions and add pairs who shouldn’t draw each other, one pair per line, e.g.
Anna & Ben. - Optional: add the event name, budget and exchange date – they are shown on every reveal.
- Press Draw names.
- Press Copy link next to each name and send it only to that person, or use Print slips.
Ideas for using it
- Family Christmas. one gift each instead of presents for everyone, with partners excluded from drawing each other.
- Office gift exchange. set a budget and date, send private links in your team chat.
- Classroom. print slips so every student draws a classmate’s name for a small gift or kind note.
- Friends abroad. run an online Secret Santa without meeting – everyone gets their link by message.
Secret Santa rules that keep everyone happy
- Agree on a budget so gifts feel fair – the budget appears on every reveal.
- Set a clear date for the exchange and share it with the links.
- Use exclusions wisely: couples, siblings or people who already exchange gifts.
- Turn on “avoid mutual pairs” to prevent two people simply swapping gifts with each other.
- Keep links private: send each link only to its owner and don’t open other people’s links.
