Knockout brackets in seconds

The tournament bracket generator builds a single-elimination (knockout) bracket for 2 to 64 players or teams. Turn on random seeding for a fair draw, or keep your own order to seed the strongest players first.

When the number of entries is not a power of two (8, 16, 32…), the generator adds byes to the top seeds automatically, using the standard seeding order so byes are spread fairly. Click a name to send it to the next round – and if you change an earlier result, later rounds update. When you’re done, print the bracket or save it as a PDF.

How to use

  1. Enter the players or teams, one per line (up to 64).

  3. Optional: add a tournament title.

Frequently asked questions

What is a bye?

A bye means a player moves to the next round without playing, because the bracket needs a power-of-two number of slots. Byes go to the top seeds.

How does random seeding work?

The list is shuffled with a cryptographically secure shuffle before seeds are assigned, so every player is equally likely to get any position.

How many players can I add?

From 2 up to 64 players or teams.

Can I undo a result?

Yes. Click the other player in the same match; later rounds that depended on it are cleared automatically.

Does it support double elimination or round robin?

Not yet – this tool creates single-elimination brackets.
